in episode 21 kisa and the rest are watching an anime movie can some1 tell me who the voice of the 1 kid in the movie was who said what a powerful oppenent its so familiar but i cant put my finger on where ive heared that voice

i pick Tamaki. Since I disike Akito, because of his selfish attitude.

Honey! I admit they have similar personalities, but when it comes to cuteness, honey wins hands down! Plus, honey has a double personality, he can be sweet, but if you make him angry, he can snap you like a twig. (well it's not like his going to do that)

In the Japanese culture, Toru was almost being very forward by doing this, although under the circumstances, they probably had been overly formal up to this point.
Reply:It was actually Yuki's nickname (in school) that Haru asked Tohru to say. Because Haru noticed a difference in Yuki's personality and felt that it was due to the presence of Tohru. Although Tohru didn't want to admit it, the fact is it was Tohru who lightens Yuki and made him more open to others.
Yuki actually likes being called his nickname because it means that he is being appreciated and loved. So, if he is called by that nickname, he feels that that person thinks highly of him and thus he gets a little shy...because he had a fever that day, his condition was volatile and so his shyness caused him to transform (again).

Reply:It was actually Yuki's nickname (in school) that Haru asked Tohru to say. Because Haru noticed a difference in Yuki's personality and felt that it was due to the presence of Tohru. Although Tohru didn't want to admit it, the fact is it was Tohru who lightens Yuki and made him more open to others.
Yuki actually likes being called his nickname because it means that he is being appreciated and loved. So, if he is called by that nickname, he feels that that person thinks highly of him and thus he gets a little shy...because he had a fever that day, his condition was volatile and so his shyness caused him to transform (again).

I've read volume 18, and there's one thing that still baffles me.

But really, you should just read the manga from the beginning. You'll really miss out on alot if you don't.

I wanted to do something inexpensive, like mail out tins of fudge or fruit baskets (homemade). Any ideas would be great. We really don't want to spend much this year as last year we went totally overboard (we spent almost $2,000!). So this year we decided to send a food basket of some kind to save a little. Thanks...
Ok, so the holidays are coming up and I need some gift ideas?
You could get little boxes of chocolate at Malley's that are relatively inexpensive, or even buy a bunch of the chocolate and put it together yourself in little bags and add some other treats or a candle, some soap, bath salts, little ornaments for christmas...etc. in with it. Target always has really good deals on stocking stuffers (dollar section) that added with some fudge or fruit would make very cute homemade baskets! I know that my mom always loves the homemade baskets she gets because they're more personal and you know that the people giving them picked each thing out for you. Remember it's the thought that counts, so I'm sure whatever you decide on will be well received! Enjoy your holidays!

HUH?

I've actually went and looked at the manga myself because I wanted to start where the show ends but from what I've seen there seems to be a number of differences between the manga and the anime that it's a little hard to actually tell and it seems the best bet is to actually read it from the beginning to get a whole idea of the story since from the manga if you started where it left off, it feels like you are missing information.

HUH?
Reply:if you're willing to put in the work, a cookie assortment may be a fun idea. you can put them in an airtight bag and then in a pretty tin with a ribbon on it. it will be a yummy gift and the recipients will appreciate the work that you put into it!

Fruits Basket anime Vs. the Manga?
Just want to know from people who have watched and read it...Is the anime as good as the manga? My friends tell me it's not and I've never seen it.

It certainly isn't....The main reason I say this is because the anime is unfinished and is not going to be continued. It leaves out a whole lot and ends with a big ol' hole in it...like it was so obviously unfinished. The manga is way more fun and just has...more lol. Seriously, don't even waste your time with the anime. The only good thing I have to say about it is seeing it in action with music helped me feel the emotion more and made me cry (I love that) but that's something I can say about every anime adaptation.

but when she tried it on an apple, it turned out all weird and messy about it.

For 9 chocolate dipped strawberries: In the top of a double boiler set over simmering (not boiling) water heat semisweet chocolate (2 squares-2 oz.) and butter (1 tablespoon), stirring until melted, about 5 minutes. Remove from over water. Cool slightly. Holding by the stem, dip each strawberry into chocolate mixture, coating strawberry halfway. Place strawberries on baking sheet lined with waxed paper. Let stand until chocolate sets.
Reply:1. Melt any type of chocolate, dark or white, in the microwave for one minute, or till it is JUsT melted.
2. Grab the strawberries by the stem. Dip the tip in the melted chocolate.
3. Place the chocolate coated fruit on a baking sheet lined with wax paper.
4. After 45 minutes, use a sharp knife and run it through the bottoms of the strawberries so that it comes off the wax paper.
5. Important tip: Dip the strawberries with just one swish. Try to get them dipped in one try, and not two or three.
6. Also yummy: chocolate covered grapes.

Insert toothpicks into the tops of the strawberries.
In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and shortening, stirring occasionally until smooth. Holding them by the toothpicks, dip the strawberries into the chocolate mixture.
Turn the strawberries upside down and insert the toothpick into styrofoam for the chocolate to cool.

Remove from over water. Cool slightly. Holding by the stem, dip each strawberry into chocolate mixture, coating strawberry halfway. Place strawberries on baking sheet lined with waxed paper. Let stand until chocolate sets.

I've read the entire series of Fruits Basket and I have to say it's the greatest story you might ever read. You can read it all free by downloading it from http://www.nemuidesu.co.nr/, or http://www.stoptazmo.com/ instead or waiting for the manga to come out. I've also seen the entire anime in japanese and english. You definatly DO NOT want to get the anime! It only goes up to volume 6, they didn't do it right (like giving Akito a mans voice and showing her with her shirt off, and having Yuki chase Kyo into the woods when he transformed into his true form) because many secrets are revealed later on in the story. Nobody liked the anime in Japan, and thats why it's only a 26 episode series. You don't even learn Kyo's backstory relating to Kyoko and Tohru in the anime because it's not revealed until ch. 120. You also never learn Yuki's backstory in the anime, and it's very important. You never even see some members of the Zodiac like Rin and Kureno, and you never learn Akito's role in the Zodiac curse. They took out the hat story that involves all of the main charaters because you never learn the entire thing until the end of the manga series. You can download the anime if you want to see it, because any Fruits Basket fan would want to see it at least once, but don't waste your good money buying it. The manga is AMAZING!! Their is a petition at Tokyopop.com for a new Fruits Bsaket series in widescreen that follows the manga to be done. You can sign it if you want. But in short, if you want the real, complete, breath taking story of Fruits Basket, get the manga!

Fruits Basket ~would you recommend the Anime or Manga?
I've read the entire series of Fruits Basket and I have to say it's the greatest story you might ever read. You can read it all free by downloading it from http://www.nemuidesu.co.nr/, or http://www.stoptazmo.com/ instead or waiting for the manga to come out. I've also seen the entire anime in japanese and english. You definatly DO NOT want to get the anime! It only goes up to volume 6, they didn't do it right (like giving Akito a mans voice and showing her with her shirt off, and having Yuki chase Kyo into the woods when he transformed into his true form) because many secrets are revealed later on in the story. Nobody liked the anime in Japan, and thats why it's only a 26 episode series. You don't even learn Kyo's backstory relating to Kyoko and Tohru in the anime because it's not revealed until ch. 120. You also never learn Yuki's backstory in the anime, and it's very important. You never even see some members of the Zodiac like Rin and Kureno, and you never learn Akito's role in the Zodiac curse. They took out the hat story that involves all of the main charaters because you never learn the entire thing until the end of the manga series. You can download the anime if you want to see it, because any Fruits Basket fan would want to see it at least once, but don't waste your good money buying it. The manga is AMAZING!! Their is a petition at Tokyopop.com for a new Fruits Bsaket series in widescreen that follows the manga to be done. You can sign it if you want. But in short, if you want the real, complete, breath taking story of Fruits Basket, get the manga!

But Kyo needs her more and towards the later manga it seems like she's cares more about him. Yuki is growing up and coming out of shell more and therefore doesn't need Tohru as much. How do u spell the last name @_@ is it Sohma or Soma? someone said that half of the sohma characters are spelled Sohma and the other half is soma. In the manga,on one of the pages, it said both sohma and soma xD

I understand akito being god of the sohma family chinese zodiac curse but shouldnt they be able to fight him. why cant they just get rid of akito? wouldnt it put an end to there suffering and they would be able to do whatever they want?

Also, there's a lot going on in the Sohma's main house. There's some really enlightening information in the latter volumes of the manga (besides the fact that Akito is a woman, despite appearances). I won't spoil it for you, but I can say one thing; Shigure isn't as nice and fun loving as he seems.
One last thing: there's no incest. I know it looks that way, but the explanation is that 'Sohma' is a common last name in Japan. So, a Sohma marries a Sohma from a different family, and so on, and so on. (I think this part was supposed to be in someone else's question, but I'm leaving it here just incase anyone was wondering. *_*)

Reply:well for teh Sohma family he is the most important peson in the family. he is like.. it hard to explain but he is in the top and they cant fight back its like he is more superior than anyone else to the famlily so maybe thats why but the only people that had kinda fought against him would be Yuki and shigure tried to stop akito from harming tohru

if i were her, i would pick Kyo. Yuki is a little too gentle for my nature. although Yuki has started to change in the manga and Kyo has a more gentle nature....Kyo is still a little more manly than Yuki. :P for Tohru anyway, he is better for her.

Who has seen the show or read the manga books? I have and must say I adore it. Who is your favorite character and why and who is your favorite zodiac animal and why? My favorite character is Kyo. Because he is hot and so funny. My fav. zodiac animal is the cat,aka Kyo. Because i love cats so much!

I like Kyo, too. I think he's pretty cool and his attitude and character really resembles a lot of us people in the world. However, he actually lets out that anger and the frustrations he undergoes to the people around him. His zodiac was okay, but at the end with his "true" form, I thought it was really weird and cool how he turned into that thing.
He is a character that comes to find his true self and his true image being the "curse" of the Sohma family, being the cat that, in story of the zodiac animals, was tricked by the rat, being a stupid animal.
His personality and failed attempts to beat Yuki (the rat) plays an important role in his character.
As Tohru finally accepts Kyo as what he is in the end, I really believe he is a character that was grown the most throughout the series. It is too bad that the anime series ended at 26 episodes.
I haven't read the manga, but I might after I read Kare Kano (which is another really good anime series up to episode 13...as I must point). I think the manga is better for Fruits Basket because you actually will understand much more things that the anime series will not give you. I think I will read the manga soon.
