What are the native fruits of Turkey?

need to make a fruit basket for turkish visitors, would like them to feel at home

What are the native fruits of Turkey?
The turkey is a bird. It lays eggs, not fruits
Reply:fig, mulberry, sour cherry, cherry, kasaba melon, watermelon, grapes, pear, apple, peach, apricot, pomegranite, quince, blackbery
Reply:Turkey has the biggest farming industry in Europe and produces the biggest amounts of; tomato, cucumber, apples, nuts and water melons. Thing you should keep in mind is Turkish taste in fruit is more used to smaller and organic fruits and vegetables, preferably with dense flavor and smell. A traditional Turkish fruit dish in summer season is, water melons or a mixture of fruits cherries, plums and apricots. It is a tradition to bring a wet towel with the fruits to clean hands.
Reply:Plums, apricots, apples, grapes, and figs are mostly used fruits (either fresh or dried) in Turkish cuisine.
Reply:Turkey is the first productor in the world for cherries, pomegrantes, hazelnuts, apricots, quinces, and figs. But we mostly like figs, hazelnuts, and cherries. And quinces would be good too since there are lots of jokes in Turkish about them. putting a few tulips in the basket would do good since the originals come from Turkey. good luck! :)
