I ussually like action, but for some reason I really got into Fruits Basket..

The authors name is Natsuki Takaya. She's also written Tsubasa o Motsu Mono, Sickly Boy wa Hi ni Yowai, Genei Musou, Boku ga Utau to Kimi wa Waraukara. None of these have yet to be realized in anime form, sorry if you were just looking for anime.
