Fruits basket....Reproducing?

In the Frutis basket books it says the Kazuma Sohma...(Kyo's teacher person) his grandfather was also cursed with the cat's spirit. How can that be...Because that would mean that his grandfather would of had to have a kid and no need to explain how that is done....





But with the curse and everything how can he have done that? It just doesn't seem possiable.....

I think a lot of people tend to get confused about some of the details of the curse.


The cat's didn't get locked up until they graduated from high school but even then they are still allowed to have visitors, wives, husbands etc. Remember, not all house heads were like Akito. Akira was a kind man, it was clear Kazuma's grandfather wasn't completely confined if Kazuma himself could get there. He just didn't get visitors because his family didn't want to see him, even his wife married him out of pity.


Another thing people seem to get a little mixed up about is that there are ways of having sex without embracing. I'm sure Ha'ri and Kana done it at least once before they decided to get married. It's not completely impossible for members of the jyunishi to have sex.

You're completely mixed up.The curse does not break when they're hugged by someone who loves them. And it does not break for just one person each generation.


Kazuma's grandfather was never freed from the curse. The first person to ever have their curse lifted was Kureno.


The curse began to fall appart when Kyo was accepted and loved. This can be seen with Kureno's freedom as it was at the same time as Kyo developing a friendship with Kyoko, Momiji was freed at the same time as Tooru deciding she was going to tell Kyo how she felt and Hiro was freed when. The curse was broken when the Cat's words of not wanting eternity reached Kami's heart. Why is it so hard for people to understand that you don't have to embrace when having sex. We've even seen how close someone can get to a jyunishi member without having them change when Kyo half hugged Tooru through the bed sheet.

Reply:ok with the curse that chang when there hug by the oppites sex right but when lets say kyo and thuro ( sorry cant spell her name ) hug and kyo changes but if the girl and kyo loved each outher in the sane way and huged the curse would break.....or kyo's grandpa made kyo's dad with some one that has the cures to he would not change

Reply:Maybe he was let out at one point, they gave him a braclet, and he had a kid. Maybe he made someone pregnant before he was locked up at 18. It's not explained in the story.
Reply:I think the mangaka has a hard time explaining the details of the curse because what I really know is that the curse exist just because it was meant to be like that for no particular reason. I don't think I would know the exact reason to why the curse exists and later it just becomes history.
